  • FULL TIME! BARCELONA WIN THE EUROPEAN SUPER CUP! PEDRO IS THE HERO! Enrique's men wrap up a 5-4 extra-time win over Los Nervionenses, with Emery's side distraught at the final whistle. That game had goals, bookings, injuries, Krohn-Delhi even sipped a bit of beer during one of the intervals! Barcelona get the first of six possible trophies this season, with Pedro possibly signing off from Blaugrana duty in some style. That's all that we have time for, I've been Simon Harrison and I hope to see you again next time!
  • 120' + 2'
WHAT A MISS! Immobile gets to the right byline, before cutting back a wonderful cross. Rami is picked out at the back post, but the former Milan defender is unsighted an can only deflect the ball wide of the post!
  • 120' + 1'
There are two minutes of stoppage time! Mariano breaks down the right-hand side, before bursting into the box, but Mathieu comes across to make an inch-perfect sliding challenge.

  • 120'
Krohn-Delhi picks up a yellow card for clashing with Dani Alves, with the Brazilian also getting a booking for his part in the incident. Rakitic takes the resulting free kick short, with Messi and Suarez looking to keep the ball in the corner for the dying seconds.
  • 118'
Busquets gives away a free kick, with Banega once again stood over the ball and hoping to muster something special. The Argentine hangs up a delivery into the path of Coke, but the defender can only crane his neck to send the ball inches wide of the the post!
  • 117'
    Yellow CardBusquets
  • 116'
Close for Vitolo! Konoplyanka sprints down the left-hand side, before cutting back a teasing ball from the byline! The Spain international is present, but can't muster up a shot under heavy pressure from two defenders!
  • 115'
    GoalPedro
GOOOOOOOOOOOAL! PEDRO HAS DONE IT! PEDRO HAS SCORED THE WINNER! Messi fires his first attempt into the wall, before firing the rebound at goal! Beto makes a fantastic save after seeing it late, but Pedro is there to smash home the loose ball! What a story!
  • 114'
Messi is brought down on the edge of the penalty area by an overzealous challenge from Mariano, with the Argentina international having another chance to complete a hat-trick of free kicks. With the ball merely 20 yards from goal, this is definitely in range.
  • 113'
Barcelona are trying to camp in the opposition half, but Sevilla are defending in an extremely narrow shape and remain a tough nut to crack. Pedro whips a delivery in from the left, but Coke heads clear, before Tremoulinas launches a clearance high upfield. Emery's men look to be playing for penalties in Tbilisi.
  • 111'
Vitolo is forced to have a bit of treatment on the touchline, after appearing to pick up a bit of a muscle complaint. Moments later, Rami is penalised for a sliding tackle on Messi, but the Frenchman is adamant that he won the ball. The resulting free kick is headed behind and to safety by Coke.
  • 110'
Alves fires a low cross in towards the near post, but Tremoulinas does well to clear the delivery away. Moments later, Messi is picked out in the penalty area with his back to goal, but the Argentine sends an ambitious over-head kick effort some way wide of the target!
  • 108'
Pedro is picked out on the right-hand side, before the Spaniard cuts inside onto his right foot and lets fly! His effort is easily blocked, with Beto yet to be tested in extra time. Pique finds Mathieu on the left flank, but the former Valencia defender's attempted cross is easy for the goalkeeper to claim.
  • 107'
Mariano cuts inside from the right-hand side, before feeding Immobile in behind Pique. The Barcelona defender holds his nerve to outmuscle the former Dortmund striker and actually win a foul for his troubles. Sevilla continue to look dangerous on the counter.
  • 106'
We are back underway for the final stretch in Tbilisi! Only 15 minutes separate us and a penalty shootout, with Sevilla looking to be willing to hold out and play Barcelona in closed play. Both coaches are desperately trying to inspire a little bit more out of their players.
  • 105' + 1'
INTERVAL! After good work from Immobile, Mariano is picked out on the right-hand side. The former Bordeaux right-back jinks inside, before curling a shot straight at Ter Stegen! Pedro then threatens down the other end, but can't hit the target! That will be that for the first half of extra time!
  • 105'
Barcelona are trying to keep hold of the ball and dominate the opening half of extra time, but Sevilla are sitting back and remaining incredibly hard to play through. Immobile is only 40 yards out from his own goal, with Emery's men certainly digging in until the interval.
  • 103'
Pedro leaves one player in his wake, before spreading play out to the right-hand side. Messi tries to poke a through ball into Suarez, but Konoplyanka puts in a foot to deflect the ball behind for a corner.
  • 101'
Messi and Suarez try to combine, but Mariano slides in well to deny the chemistry between the two. Pedro then tries to pick out Alves on the far side, but the former Sevilla defender is caught criminally offside.
  • 99'
Messi is found on the left-hand side, but there aren't any gaps for the goalscorer to exploit. Sevilla are looking resilient and organised, with players coming over to speak to Emery whenever there is an extended break in play. They believe that they can some away with a trophy tonight.
  • 97'
Pique goes down cradling his face after a clash with Immobile, with the Spain international claiming that the former Torino striker elbowed him deliberately. In actuality, there wasn't a lot in it at all, with the substitute jumping naturally to compete with his man.
  • 95'
Messi finds Rakitic, who gives possession to Suarez. The Uruguay international tries to step across Krychowiak, but the Polish midfielder stays disciplined. Sevilla then break, but Pedro puts in a cynical tackle. That's a yellow card merely a minute after coming into the fray.
  • 94'
    Yellow CardPedro
  • 93'
    SubstitutionJavier Mascherano Pedro
  • 93'
Barca will probably want to ease their way into the extra-time period, after falling apart slightly in the second half. Mascherano is replaced by Pedro, with the supposedly want-away winger able to sign off on a high with the Blaugrana here tonight.
  • 92'
    Yellow CardCiro Immobile
  • 91'
We are underway in the first period of extra time in Georgia! After a 4-4 blockbuster during the opening 90 minutes, both sides have to go again with an additional half an hour of action to play in the capital.
  • 90' + 4'
FULL TIME! Barcelona and Sevilla can only draw 4-4 in Georgia, with this game going the full distance! After the Blaugrana went 4-1 ahead, everything looked to be lost for Emery's men, but the underdogs have fought back through goals from Reyes, Gameiro and Konoplyanka.
  • 90' + 3'
    Generic
  • 90' + 3'
Busquets gives away a free kick, which leads to Sevilla loading the penalty box. Ter Stegen does well to punch clear among traffic, before Barca break. With Suarez looking dangerous, Banega slides in and deliberately trips his opponent. Yellow card for a cynical challenge.
  • 90' + 2'
    Yellow CardEver Banega
  • 90' + 1'
We're into the first of three minutes of stoppage time. Krohn-Delhi almost manages to prey off a poor pass from Ter Stegen, but the Dane is just about beaten to the ball! Not the time for mistakes from either outfit.
  • 90'
So close for Messi! The Argentine nearly makes it a hat trick of free kicks, curling a dead-ball effort just wide of the top right-hand corner! So close, in fact, that it looked to shave the woodwork! That was from all of 35 yards out.
  • 88'
    Yellow CardCoke
  • 88'
Dani Alves guides a cross in from the right-hand side, but Mariano and Coke do just enough to beat Sergi Roberto in the air! Suarez is then fouled by Coke, with the defender picking up a yellow card for his troubles, before Beto punches away the resulting free kick.
  • 86'
Messi tries to lift a cheeky through ball into the penalty area, but Coke manages to make a timely block. Less than five minutes are on the clock in Tbilisi, with the momentum most certainly with Emery's side. The script just might be written for Pedro to come on and contribute a winning goal for Barca.
  • 84'
Krohn-Delhi takes aim from 30 yards out! The Dane sends the ball rocketing over the crossbar, with Emery still going berserk on the touchline. I don't think that he has sat down for the entire match. Barca are now looking to get the game back in their control with some slow possession.
  • 83'
Less than 10 minutes remain, with Sevilla now having their tails up! Emery's changes appear to have done the trick for now, with Enrique becoming the frustrated coach on the touchline. Bartra commits another foul, with the substitute coming through the back of Immobile. Krohn-Delhi lofts a pass up towards the former Dortmund man moments later, with Bartra conceding a corner.

    GoalYevhen Konoplyanka
GOOOOOOOOOOOAL! KONOPLYANKA NETS HIS FIRST GOAL FOR SEVILLA! Immobile manages to slide an inviting cross towards the back post, with his Ukrainian teammate able to pass home a finish from a few yards out! Barca have absolutely imploded!
  • 80'
    SubstitutionKevin Gameiro Ciro Immobile
  • 80'
    SubstitutionIborra Mariano
  • 80'
Immobile and Mariano are both being thrown into the fray, with Gameiro and Iborra the men replaced. That might mean that Coke moves into centre-back, with Krychowiak moving up into midfield. The Italy international is immediately on the move and putting his defenders under pressure, earning a throw in from Bartra.
  • 78'
    SubstitutionRafinha Bartra
  • 78'
It's a negative change from Enrique, with Rafinha coming off to be replaced by Bartra. Barca are clearly concerned about the final 10 minutes in Georgia, with Suarez and Messi now being left up top. Mascherano is pushed into midfield, with the Champions League holders probably wanting more grit in the middle.
  • 77'
Big chance for Sevilla! Banega clips a cross in towards the back post, which Coke does brilliantly to square on the volley! Gameiro makes a run towards the back post, but can't quite get there quickly enough.
  • 76'
Messi is robbed of the ball well by Rami, with Sevilla controlling more of the ball at the moment. Enrique is edging out of his technical area, with there clearly a few nerves in the Blaugrana camp at the moment. Mathieu commits a foul, pushing his man, but the referee doesn't go to his book for a second yellow card.
  • 74'
The final quarter of an hour is suddenly going to be extremely interesting! Konoplyanka tries to combine with Gameiro, but the latter is denied by Mascherano. Sevilla appear to have plenty left in the tank, with the fans urging the underdogs forward in search of what appeared to be an unlikely equaliser only 10 minutes ago! Messi takes aim from 20 yards, but Beto makes a save, before the goalkeeper punches a cross away from Rafinha!
  • 72'
    Penalty GoalKevin Gameiro
GOOOOOOOOOAL! GAMEIRO MAKES IT 4-3! The former Lorient striker just about manages to tuck a finish inside the left-hand post and beyond the grasp of Ter Stegen! The German goalkeeper couldn't get near it, despite guessing the correct direction to dive!
  • 71'
    Yellow CardJérémy Mathieu
  • 71'
PENALTY FOR SEVILLA! Mathieu gets a yellow card, after the Frenchman dived in to pull Vitolo away from heading in a certain goal! Emery goes absolutely wild on the sideline, he clearly thinks that the comeback is on!
  • 70'
Konoplyanka jinks in from the left-hand side, but the Ukraine international can only fire some way wide of the far post. Barcelona are retaining the ball with consummate ease, but Emery is remaining animated and asking his players to press higher up the field. The former Spartak coach clearly thinks that this contest isn't over yet.
  • 68'
    SubstitutionReyes Yevhen Konoplyanka
  • 68'
Reyes leaves the field of play, despite netting Sevilla's second goal not too long ago. Konoplyanka is introduced, with the former Dnipro man having around 20 minutes to make an impact in Tbilisi. A long ball is lofted up towards Suarez, but the former Liverpool forward gives away a foul for a push on his marker.
  • 67'
Suarez is fouled by Krychowiak, with the Polish midfielder definitely needing to watch his step due to his earlier yellow card. This free kick is definitely out of Messi range, but Beto may still have to be wary. After a long, hard think, Barca decide to take it short.
  • 65'
Good play from Barca! Sergio and Messi combine in the centre of the field, before the ball is worked out to the left-hand side. Sergi Roberto finds Mathieu making up ground out wide, but the Frenchman's eventual cross is easily blocked. Moments later, Suarez is released down the left, but Rami comes across well to defuse the danger.
  • 63'
    SubstitutionAndrés Iniesta Luján Sergi Roberto
  • 63'
Iniesta leaves the field of play, with Enrique clearly taking no chances with the knock that his captain just took. The armband is passed to Messi, with Sergi Roberto being introduced in his favoured position. The midfielder has played his fair share of minutes at right-back during pre season when asked.
  • 62'
Barca win themselves a corner on the left-hand side, after good work from Messi and Rakitic. Krychowiak is able to put the ball behind, with a few in the crowd claiming for handball. The Croatia international delivers, but Rafinha can only head onto the crossbar! A near-post flick almost managed to loop over Beto.
  • 60'
Half an hour is left on the clock, with Emery needing to somehow generate two goals from his Sevilla outfit. Konoplyanka and Immobile are waiting in the wings for Los Nervionenses, with former Rayo winger Gael Kakuta also able to change the game with his unpredictable nature.
  • 58'
Iniesta is left in a heap, after a passage of play from Barcelona that saw Beto dive at full stretch to deny Rafinha! A sliding challenge from Iborra appears to have hurt the opposition captain. Krohn-Delhi puts the ball sportingly out of play, with the physios immediately coming on.

Barcelona are looking confident and the crowd continue to get behind the Champions League holders. There is still over half an hour to play, but this game is dead as a contest already. Enrique's side are stroking the ball around with ease, with their coach probably already thinking of who he can rest ahead of the Spanish Super Cup against Athletic Club.
  • 54'
Iborra and Coke look to combine down the right-hand side, but an eventual cross from the former is cut out by Rakitic. Moments later, the right-back musters up a shot following a driving run, but Iniesta deflects the ball behind for a Sevilla corner. Banega's delivery is half cleared, before Krohn-Delhi rifles a half volley wide of the left post!
  • 52'

  • 52'
    GoalLuis Suárez
GOOOOOOOOOAL! It's 4-1 for Barcelona and that is embarrassing stuff from Sevilla. Suarez is the man with the goal, after a bad mistake from Tremoulinas. Busquets is able to pick out a simple pass to his Uruguayan teammate, who slides a finish underneath an exposed Beto.
  • 51'
Sevilla have tried to look after the ball in the second half, but there is still plenty of space for Barca to exploit when they do gain possession. Suarez drives at the opposition defence, before unleashing a powerful strike, but a deflection sends the ball looping into the air and then into the awaiting grasp of Beto.
  • 50'
Krohn-Delhi weaves his way into space on the edge of the penalty area, before curling a right-footed effort into traffic! Barcelona had seven players back on the edge of their box, there. Enrique's side are defending in numbers, before springing up the field to counter at real pace. Mathieu is found overlapping on the left yet again, but Coke blocks the eventual cross from the former Valencia man.
  • 48'
Mathieu races down the left-hand side, before playing a neat one-two with Messi. The French defender looks to be bearing down on goal, but Rafinha intrudes into his teammate's space and the move peters out. Mascherano goes for another switch of play out to the right-hand side, but again the Argentine has his execution all wrong. Moments later, Suarez takes aim from 25 yards, but sends his shot narrowly over.
  • 46'
We are back underway in the second half in Tbilisi! Barcelona are already boasting a two-goal cushion, with Messi looking to be in imperious form. Sevilla have some interesting options on their bench, but their defence has been too frail to withstand the Blaugrana's intensity thus far.
  • HALF TIME! Barcelona head into the dressing room with a 3-1 lead, courtesy of two free-kick efforts from Messi and a late finish from Rafinha. Banega opened the scoring, but Sevilla have been struggling to deal with the Blaugrana since. Emery might just have to introduce a couple of new faces from the bench to turn this one around.
  • 44'
    AssistLuis Suárez
  • 44'
    GoalRafinha
GOOOOOOOOOAL! RAFINHA MAKES IT THREE! Neymar isn't being missed at the moment! The Brazilian is able to bundle home an untidy finish, after good work from Suarez. The Uruguayan firstly is denied by Beto in a one-on-one situation, but regains possession and slots a lovely ball into the box. Rafinha is braver than his opponents and stabs home!
  • 43'
Coke is forced to slide in and deny Barcelona, after yet another brilliantly combination between Messi and Suarez, with the former's touch getting away from him. A rare occasion. Barca are maintaining their pressure, but Sevilla continue to try and count at pace. Gameiro is putting in plenty of running, despite barely touching the ball.
  • 41'
No chances taken by Pique! Reyes shows some skill down the right-hand side to earn himself some space, with the Spaniard firing in a low cross. The Barcelona central defender thumps a powerful clearance as far away from goal as possible. Moments later, the same man cuts back a delivery from the byline, but Dani Alves is on hand to hack off the line and deny Vitolo and Gameiro! Ter Stegen was all at sea.
  • 40'
Messi pokes a cheeky pass into the six-yard box for Suarez to try and control, but the former Groningen man sees the ball roll harmlessly through his legs and Tremoulinas hacks away the danger. Barca then win themselves another corner, but Messi's deliver is claimed confidently by Beto.
  • 38'
Suarez goes down and claims a foul from Vitolo, but the referee isn't interested at all. The Sevilla winger tries to drive upfield, but Rakitic is promptly over the cut the foray forward short and restore order. The Croatian is absolutely everywhere tonight. Less than 10 minutes remain for Barca to make an impressive first-half performance count on the scoreboard.
  • 36'
INIESTA! The captain pops up 12 yards from goal, but Krychowiak makes a vital block to deny the Spaniard, before Coke clears up the remnants! Krohn-Delhi is being absolutely given the run around by Messi this evening, with the former Celta midfielder unable to get anywhere near the Barca star.
  • 34'
JUST WIDE! Rakitic takes aim from 30 yards out, but the former Sevilla midfielder sees the ball swerve beyond the right-hand post! Beto was happy to watch it wide, but the Croatian is definitely taking no prisoners against his beloved ex-employers. Banega is able to curl an effort goalwards from 30 yards during the following attack, but Ter Stegen gathers with ease.
  • 32'
Banega finds Coke on the right-hand side with a great pass, but the right-back is only able to win a corner off Rafinha. The set piece is worked cleverly to the edge of the penalty area, but Krohn-Delhi can only slam a shot into Pique's body from 20 yards out. Moments later, Alves shoots from long range, but Beto makes a simple save.
  • 30'
Barca have certainly had the better of the first half, with Los Nervionenses unable to generate any chances. Iborra briefly goes down, after the midfielder landed awkwardly on his knee, but is promptly back to his feet and ready to play on.
  • 28'
OFFSIDE! Suarez thinks that he has the third, but the linesman has his flag raised! Mathieu is found overlapping down the left-hand side, with the former Valencia man able to cut a neat cross towards the back post. All that the former Ajax striker has to do is slot home a close-range finish, but he was ever so slightly ahead of play.
  • 28'
Rakitic sets a pass to Messi, with the Argentine shifting the ball onto his left foot and attempting to lift a through ball over the top for Suarez to chase. The Uruguay international is just beaten to the pass by Beto, with the Portuguese goalkeeper finally able to do something other than pick the ball out of his net.
  • 27'
Gameiro has had absolutely nothing to play from, with the Frenchman being denied a chance to impact on the game yet again by a clearing Mathieu header. Mascherano attempts a long switch of play out to Dani Alves on the right flank, but the former Liverpool midfielder places the ball directly out for a throw in.
  • 25'
Messi curls a corner delivery in from the right flank, but Beto is able to come off his line and claim comfortably. Sevilla have faded a little bit during the past 10 minutes, with Barca absolutely relentless with their approach. Enrique's men are hungry for their first title of the season and you can see it in their intensity and tempo.
  • 23'
Rafinha spreads play out to Messi on the right-hand side, before the goalscorer tries to make an incisive pass. He slides the ball towards the six-yard-box, but the man who gave him possession is able to rush over and collect it ahead of Beto. Moments later, another cross is thrown into the penalty area by Mathieu, but Rami clears behind for a corner.
  • 21'
Reyes breaks through the heart of the Barca midfield, before poking a pass out to Tremoulinas on the left-hand side. The French left-back slides in and tries to deliver a cross, but Pique deflects it behind for a corner with his arm. It was raised blatantly in the air, but the referee disagrees and points over to the flag. The resulting set piece is claimed easily by Ter Stegen.
  • 19'
Rafinha goes on a darting run down the left-hand side, before a stabbed pass from the Brazilian is miscontrolled by Suarez. Barcelona are looking to scamper upfield at full speed, with Krychowiak probably having some interesting decisions to make before the conclusion of the 90 minutes.
  • 17'
Three free-kick opportunities and three goals! What a start in Georgia! Gameiro tries to prey on a flick on from Reyes, but Ter Stegen is alive to the danger and denies the Frenchman. Emery won't believe what he is watching. His side have competed well, but two fouls have been punished to the highest degree by their opponents.
  • 15'
    GoalMessi
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! MESSI HAS DONE IT AGAIN! UNBELIEVABLE! Two free kicks for Messi and the Argentine has done it AGAIN! He curls home from 30 yards out and Beto can't get anywhere near it! It was on his side, but still the Portuguese couldn't make the save.
  • 15'
Krychowiak picks up a yellow card, with the Poland international now having to play the remaining 75 minutes while balancing on the disciplinary tightrope. Messi has another chance to try his luck from a free-kick situation, but this time it is slightly further out.
  • 14'
    Yellow CardGrzegorz Krychowiak
  • 13'
Barca move the ball around sharply in the final third, but Banega does well to step in and prevent Suarez from creating anything on the very periphery of the penalty area. The underdogs are happy to let the Blaugrana put on the early pressure, given that they are set up to counter attack whenever possible. Iniesta is trying to make things happen, already showcasing his ability with some dribbling at pace.

Barcelona have seen more of the ball in the opening minutes, with Sevilla happy to sit back and remain organised. Given their make-shift back four, it is understandable that Emery wants to try and protect his central defenders.

It's all even again in Tbilisi, with this turning into a very intense and passionate affair. Sevilla are pressuring feverishly, with Barca needing to keep the ball moving constantly. Rakitic is found breaking down the right by Suarez, before the Croatian whips a cross towards the back post! Rafinha stretches to try and poke home a finish, but the left winger cannot make contact!

    GoalMessi
GOOOOOOOOOOAL! Barcelona win themselves a free kick on their own on the edge of the penalty area. Messi and Dani Alves stand over it, with plenty of white shirts in the Sevilla wall. The Argentina international tries his luck and returns the favour!

The opening five minutes are incredibly hectic! Both sides appear to be a little bit nervous, with possession being surrendered extremely regularly. Vitolo gives it away first, before Messi returns the favour. Emery is very animated on the touchline, with the Spaniard looking to mastermind his first win against Barcelona in 20 attempts.

    GoalEver Banega
GOOOOOOOOAL! SEVILLA TAKE THE LEAD IN GEORGIA! BANEGA CURLS HOME TO GIVE THEM AN ADVANTAGE! The resulting free kick, stemming from Mascherano's aforementioned foul, is swung into the back of the net with aplomb! Great finish from 25 yards out.

Rakitic places a pass directly out of play, with the Croatia international of course having to go up against his former club. Sevilla break upfield immediately, with a neat ball inside forcing Mascherano to dive into a challenge and commit a foul. Reyes attempts to race into the penalty box regardless, but the move ends in Ter Stegen clutching his ankle in pain and the match official pulling play back for the original incident.

We are underway in the first half! Barcelona are wearing their customary maroon and blue, while Sevilla are donning white and red. Competitive football is back for both of these sides!
  • The two sides are out on the field of play and after a song and dance, we are just about ready to get underway! There's a good atmosphere here tonight, with plenty of Sevilla fans making the long trip across Europe.

Di Maria: United in the past

Angel Di Maria poses with his PSG jersey
during his official presentation in Paris.
Angel Di Maria was keen to put his
disappointing experience at Manchester
United behind him after completing his
£44.3m move to Paris Saint-Germain.
The Argentine arrived in the Premier League
with considerable fanfare after completing a
British record £59.7m move from Real
Madrid last summer but he struggled to live
up to that hype and failed to adapt to life in
England.
After a bright start, a well-publicised burglary
of his Manchester home and a run of injuries
contributed to Di Maria losing his form and
ultimately his place in the team to Ashley
Young.
"Things did not turn out well for me at
Manchester United for many reasons, but that
is the past," the midfielder told a press
conference in Paris on Thursday.
"I have been in Paris for two days and I am
delighted because I know my wife and my
daughter will be happy here."
After the way the season ended, Di Maria
appeared intent on forcing a move away from
United and - much to the ire of United fans -
failed to report as scheduled for the club’s
preseason tour in the US.
However, the 28-year-old insisted that he was
not the only one keen to bring his time at the
club to an end.
"This is not only my decision," the player
said. "They (United) also wanted to sell me. It
is a shared decision between the three parties,
if we include PSG.
"PSG have been following me for several
years. I am very proud to now be able to play
for this great club, alongside such great
players."
The sale of Di Maria, meanwhile, means
United's famous No 7 shirt becomes available
for the new season.
Summer signing Memphis Depay is a strong
candidate to take the jersey given that he wore
it during his time at PSV Eindhoven.
